"Days to come stand in front of us,
like a row of lighted candles,
golden, warm, and vivid candles.
Days gone by fall behind us,
a gloomy line of snuffed-out candles;
the nearest are smoking still,
cold, melted, and bent."
- C.P. Cavafy
Moiras shows the cyclical flow of life, the coincidence, and the human impotence when facing events. Flamenco, as a language of its own, is a unique way to carry the visceral symbolism of this artistic creation. Music, lyrics and dancing are conceived here exclusively for this performance. It is also the first attempt in the flamenco scene, to introduce the greek rythms and harmonies and to combine them with the well known flamenco rythms.

Μοῖραι – Moiras
is an ancient Greek word — which means the “distributors”.
According to the Hellenic mythology, the three sisters Moiras (Fates),are spinsters. They are the goddesses of destiny and through threads they control the birth, life and death of the humans. Clotho is the youngest, a symbol of the present, and is weaving the thread of life. Laquesis, the second one, symbolizes the future, and measures the threads to determine human fate. Lastly, Atropos, the oldest one, symbolizes the past (the unchangeable) and is in charge of cutting the thread, interrupting life when she decides.
