Just because I am myself a flamenco guitarist, you could think I only teach guitar, but no, wait!
Being a flamenco artist means much more than dancing, singing, or playing any instrument… Whatever we want to do, we need to know Flamenco in its widest dimension, understand how it works:
- Understand the others: whether we want to dance, play, sing or only clap, if we want to be able to really play with the others, we need to understand the codes and structures of the baile (dance), the cante (singing), the toque (guitar)
- Compás and rhythm: truly understand and feel the compás through the palmas (hand clapping).
- Harmony and melody are musical tools, we need to understand them in the context of flamenco.
- Different palos and different styles: understand the complexity of the flamenco repertoire.
- Geography of flamenco, flamenco artists…
- The language of flamenco: spanish (castellano), andaluz, the caló…
- Spanish cultures, traditions and the people!
- And so many more things…
KNOWING ALL THESE THINGS CAN ONLY ENRICH YOURSELF AND YOUR (HE)ART!

Because I had to learn flamenco myself (and I will continue to learn all my life…), I know what it means to be lost in this musical ocean. I know what it means to spend hours, months, years practicing, to spend all your holidays and money in learning flamenco and still feel that something is missing, that you don’t have access to the full understanding or to the deepest part.
I have always loved to transmit and teach, that’s why I’m developing year after year a more global approach, a different way of teaching flamenco. Teaching not only guitar, but flamenco in general.
WEEKLY GROUP CLASSES
Format: 1 h30 every week – group
For: guitarists, singers, dancers, palmeras & palmeros, percussionists, musicians in general, curious, music lovers, aficionados… For anyone whith a genuine and deep interest in Flamenco.
Content: Everything you always wanted to know about flamenco! We´ll talk, listen, watch, compare, analyse, discuss, investigate, understand, put in perspective, practice…! Develop your flamenco knowledge, your understanding, your sense of rhythm… by a global original, and efficient approach.

Format: 1 hour – Individual or group (necessarily of homogeneous level).
For: guitarists, all levels.
Content: Everything that you need in order to play flamenco guitar: different techniques, sound, rhythm, harmony, “palos” (styles) studies, “falsetas”, variations, “recursos”, repertoire…
The freedom and depth of the flamenco guitar.
Format: 1 hour – Individual / 1h30 – group.
For: guitarists, singers, dancers, palmeras & palmeros, percussionists, musicians in general, curious, music lovers, aficionados… all levels.
Content: All “flamencos” (dancers, dancers, singers, singers, guitarists, percussionists, instrumentalists…) must understand all the compases and must know how to play palmas correctly. General concepts. Study of different compases, different palos. Work on the sound quality, rhythm accuracy, intentions, codes.
Taste the difference between “playing palmas” and “being a palmero”!
Format: 1 hour – Individual or group (necessarily homogeneous level).
For: guitarists, all levels.
Content: Guitar lessons specifically aimed at accompanying the flamenco baile. A flamenco guitarist must understand the baile and its structures, and know how to accompany it.
General concepts, structures and study “palo por palo”. Specificities, mechanics, codes, interactions…
Format: 1 hour – Individual or group (necessarily homogeneous level).
For: guitarists, all levels.
Content: guitar lessons specifically geared towards accompanying the flamenco cante. The flamenco guitar only really makes sense if it is imprinted with cante. General concepts, structures and study “palo por palo”. Specificities, mechanics, codes, interactions…
The intimacy and magic of the cante / guitarra dialogue.
Format: 1 hour – Individual / 1h30 – group.
For: guitarists, singers, dancers, palmeras & palmeros, percussionists, musicians in general, curious, music lovers, aficionados … who already have available flamenco material, even rudimentary, in order to make direct use of it.
Content: Do you want to understand how it REALLY works? Understanding and practicing interactions, codes and the flamenco language in all its dimensions: toque, cante, baile, palmas, percussions…
General concepts, structures and study “palo por palo”. The ultimate goal is to be able to develop an entire baile (cante, baile, toque) without having to rehearse! “Tablao” mode!
Who’s in charge? When? How? What? Why? The different options, the different styles…
Sharing is the essence of flamenco.
Format: 90 min.
For: the general public, guitarists, singers, dancers, palmeras & palmeros, percussionists, musicians in general, curious, music lovers, aficionados…
Content: Lecture illustrated live by professional musicians and dancers. A brief journey through the history of flamenco, its great eras, its great artists, but above all an invitation to discover the musical universe of traditional flamenco: understanding the flamenco repertoire: the different “palos”, the different “compases”, the different “cantes”… Know the different actors: cante, toque, baile, percussion… Have an overview of the different currents, the different schools. Understand its codes and language, understand interactions and improvisation in the context of flamenco.
Get out of the clichés that stick too often to flamenco!
The conference is followed by a short performance (approx. 20 minutes) during which the public will be able to enjoy flamenco in a new light.
Format: duration to be defined – group.
For: flamenco students, students of conservatories or music schools, guitarists, singers, dancers, palmeros, palmeras, percussionists, musicians, dancers in general, curious, music lovers, aficionados… all levels.
Content: discover or deepen a particular aspect of flamenco (“the structure of the baile”, “cantes libres”, “12 beats compases”, “the palmas”, or anything else…) with live cante, baile and toque.
Format: duration to be defined – group.
For: students of conservatories or music schools, guitarists, singers, singers, dancers, dancers, palmeros, palmeras, percussionists, musicians and dancers in general, curious, music lovers, aficionados… initiated or advanced.
Content: for all instrumentalists, singers, dancers from all backgrounds who want to enter the musical universe of flamenco (harmony, rhythm, main musical and cultural characteristics …) with their own instrument or discipline. With cante, baile and toque live.
